"Really great location on a pretty quiet lake. Local bar has great food including Saturday night prime rib. Beds comfy. Kitchen well stocked. Common space isn’t large but very well laid out to make it comfortable for a family of four. Outside space is wonderful with good privacy and Great Lake views. Roughly 50 minutes to the Superior shore and all the parks. You really feel like you’re away from it all. "

"We came up to enjoy a nice quiet weekend away and this place delivered. It snowed all day Saturday adding to the beauty of this place. Enjoyed some nice hikes including a beautiful one under the stars. If you don’t mind a saw dust potty and cooking outside (which we don’t) this place is for you. Cabin was very clean and comfy and warm!"

If you want a multi-generational group to gather here the owners need to address window coverings, especially in the one bathroom that has a shower that does not leak through the floor into the kitchen. "John and Carol are wonderful hosts. It really reminds me of going up for family vacations in the 80's and 90's. Very laid back and helpful if any questions or needs arise.
