"If you want seclusion away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place. Away from the main road, but with access to great lookouts and hiking paths! The property is a bit old but the staff care for it how they can. Expect waning luxury, but clean and livable rooms. It gets cold in the winter so bring some fluffy PJs. Staff is helpful and pleasant. Sometimes the jabalí show up--one was there during dinner. "

"Had the most incredible stay at Cabana De Piedra! I stayed recently with my friends for our 30th birthday celebration. It was so perfect. The villa is in the most incredible remote location in the mountains. The views are spectacular and so dreamy! The villa was perfect for a big group, had everything we needed and was spotless. The owner, Miguel, was Very friendly and helped our taxis get to the villa, as well as the chef we had arranged. The villa is remote so you need to bear that in mind when booking anything or if you’re planning on leaving the villa. We stayed at the villa the entire weekend so it wasn’t an issue for us. Taxis managed to get there too, with a bit of guidance. Had an unforgettable weekend and would come back! "

"Villa Amarilla is beautifully presented and caters for all your family needs, from the very young to all ages. Outdoor facilities are perfect for a relaxing holiday, BBQ and Bar area are superb, great pool and the added bonus of a sheltered play area stocked with toys for the kiddies. "Absolutely lovely stay, very comfortable room and bed, lovely private terrace, this is a rustic guesthouse with lovely elements, little courtyard, breakfast room, great self check in, plunge pool was sadly empty as we would have loved a dip as it was hot but I assume it's out of season. All in all a very chilled and comfortable stay "

"Stayed here 20 years ago but the hotel is so much better now. Fantastic pool and sunbathing area with quality beds, shades and views. Food was also excellent and can highly recommend a Junior Suite with a fantastic bed, bathroom, lounge and balcony. The location is out of town, but centred nicely for the main tourist attractions and only 20 mins from the lovely beach front at Torre Del Mar. Not sure what more I can say but if you are looking for a relaxing quality hotel in a beautiful quiet setting, I can’t see you finding one better in Andalusia. "

"We loved the villa, the pool, the area and the hosts. The villa is full of character and very well furnished, not the usual ‘cast-offs’ we usually get in properties in this area and price range. The pool was a great size and depth and bug free thanks to the ever active pool bot. Great seating areas inside and outside of the sun and air conditioning in the main lounge area too. Kitchen was well equipped and our hosts said we could help ourselves to the vegetables in the garden. Jose and his family were very kind, helpful and yet discrete. We will be back - if only to idle away another week relaxing in the hammock, watching the eagles fly above our heads and the sun set over the mountains. And one last note - very few wasps!!! "

"We had an amazing stay for 10days .. was nice to be close to Malaga yet out enough to have peace and quiet. The children loved the pool and having no neighbours meant we did not have to worry about their noise. We saw wildlife and would watch the gecko’s at night. Owners are amazing and friendly.. definitely recommended the house for anyone who wants to be off the grid!!!"
