"This was an excellent choice. We have stayed in Lerma before en route to the Santander ferry but have opted for more modest accommodation. I decided to spend a little more and boy was it worth it. The only negative was our late arrival and early start, so we did not have much time to enjoy the surroundings, so next time we will be sure to arrive sooner. Reception could not have been friendlier or more helpful, both arriving and departing. We were escorted to the lift. We were on floor 4, and the riom signage was not as helpful as it could be, and as it is quite dark it is difficult to see the room numbers...until you realize they are on the tiles and not the door. The room was superb, with a fabulous bed, very comfortable, my best night's sleep in the 3 month visit to Spain. Also the bathroom is huge, and lots of opulent touches. We had some drinks in the lounge area...la Bodeguita. It was very relaxing. The dinner menu was varied and encouraging but after a long drive nibbling various items in the car i did not think i would do it justice so we skipped dinner. Next time. There is a market on Wednesday mornings so we could not park in Plaza Major to the front of the hotel. The underground hotel car park is €14 per night, which i felt was expensive, as there was plenty of alternative street parking close by. We will definitely return."

"Great dog-friendly hotel with excellent breakfast and convenient parking. The only minus for me was the cost of parking. Excellent location too and a fabulous dog walking route following the river starts from the hotel's doorstep. Would definitely say again. Note: If you are not comfortable parking somewhere where it is very tight, the hotel car park is not for you."

"Fast check-in process. We arrive earlier than check-in time and they were able to accommodate us with 3 out of our 4 rooms. Special thanks to Aiza and Estafania for their great service. Rooms were clean but small. Location was perfect for exploring Burgos Cathedral and old town. Only downside is the weather was usually hot for April and AC was not turned on at hotel until the later warmer months. Hotel was able to provide us with a fan. Overall a great stay. We enjoyed Burgos"

"The restaurant was excellent, providing delicious, authentic food. There is also a ‘cafeteria’ available for snacks and informal dining. All the staff were pleasant and welcoming."

"Great place to stay. We had a warm welcome and the restaurant food was excellent. Room very comfortable - large beds and all spotlessly clean. Ensuite bathroom and shower superb. Only thing missing was coffee/tea facilities but the Cafeteria is open all the time for that. We have stayed at lots of hotels on our journeys back and to England through Spain and France and this is the best yet by far. GS "
