"This is a great cozy little cabin at 9500 feet in the small town of Garfield. Perfect to get away from the big city life. The mountain stream behind cabin is beautiful. Bruce was nice. A great musician who plays in the town of Salida on occasion. This place was close to everything we needed. Would book again. Enjoyed the week we stayed here. "

"Stayed for a short visit and loved it! The location is great to use as a home base for side trips to Salida, Monarch Mountain or even destinations in the San Luis Valley. Comfortable, beautiful lodging and good for kids as well with the creek and little playground and sand box on the property."

"The property was beautiful. Super peaceful and better in person then in pictures and the pictures are wonderful but in person, awesome!. The property manager and maintenance man were very friendly. Great stay!"

"Great spot between monarch and Salida. Hot tub worked great. Beds were comfortable. Hot tub not as private as the picture implies. Highway quite loud (woke kids up several times). Internet spotty at best. Kitchen had pots/pans/ dishes but zero condiments. Hard to prepare your own meals with nothing to add (ie olive oil, salt, pepper, ketchup etc). It would be impossible to cook many meals there unless you brought your own spices and condiments. Found it odd since that’s part of the draw to...

"This property is in a great location. A few miles from Monarch for great skiing and plenty of trails for snowshoeing in the area. We also love the close proximity of Salida, our favorite mountain town. Beautiful accommodations and private hot tub cannot be beat!"

"I would give Monarch Mt Cabin 10 stars if I could. The neighborhood is beautiful with mountain views every way you look. There is a delightful stream running behind the cabin and a fire pit and picnic table nearby to enjoy it. The cabin was spacious and clean. The host provided generous amenities, cookware, utensils, and much more. There are endless activities in the area. It's a short drive to downtown Salida where there is shopping and restaurants and the river runs through the downtown...

"Love Love Love the Woodland! Despite the entire town's internet being down, I was able to check-in easily. They have a bike lending policy so we could ride bikes to town for dinner. Super fun. Room was re-done, clean, had a full-kitchen which, since I was traveling with fresh garden produce was very helpful. Loved that it wasn't on the commercial strip but is in a north-side neighborhood. It quiets down at night (in our case, a Tuesday night). Clean, well appointed rooms, just a wonderful and perfect stop to rendezvous with a friend for a night. Stay here if you can! "
