"A hidden gem! We have just got back from a fabulous 7 days in paradise. The island is immaculate and feels very safe with security patrolling the grounds consistently throughout the day. Would recommend gold AI as can be expensive otherwise. Very quiet and peaceful island. Staff very friendly and work extremely hard to make sure you have a memorable stay. Shout outs to Ya Ya, Simon, Mama, Daneesh and Sharif so many to thank. Thank you for making our stay so memorable! If you visit check out the reef and feeding time with the baby black tip sharks. Just a 10-15 minute drive from the airport, the hotel provides convenient pick-up and drop-off services. Situated in a central location near attractions like the national museum, republic plaza, fish market, and the president's palace, it's perfect for a quick walking tour, which can be completed in under 30 minutes. The fish market, in particular, offers an intriguing stingray watchout, providing a unique experience not commonly found elsewhere in the Maldives. Additionally, the hotel is within walking distance of Rasfannu beach, although it's worth noting that the beach is relatively small. There are also several good eateries nearby, such as Seagull, Lemongrass, and D'Olive, as well as the convenience of Seagull supermarket. The family room at Somerset Hotel is spacious, with the staff accommodatingly arranging the sofa bed for the kids. Late checkout was offered, which was greatly appreciated due to our late flight. While the breakfast provided is basic, it is sufficient. Overall, we were pleased with our stay at Somerset Hotel and would consider returning in the future."

"Very kind staff. Good breakfast. Nice beaches and sea. Tours are a bit expensive like in other hotels in Maldives. Foods are also expensive as other hotels, better to come as full board. Overall a good experience."
