JEN Maldives Male by Shangri-La
5/5 Excellent
"We reached Male late at night, so it made financial sense and was also a safer option to stay in Male for the night and continued our journey to the island resort in the next Morning.
We chose Jen, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The hotel is like 15mins drive from the airport. They offer airport transfer on both directions. Walking out of the arrival hall, we were greeted by the hotel driver/staff, which was seamless.
We had the executive room, which was quite spacious. The toilet and showering were in separate rooms. The building and rooms were a bit dated, but very clean. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable. We had no complaint at all.
The morning breakfast buffet was at lvl1. It is not sumptuous, but has decent spread including bread, porridge, some warm and cold dishes.
The hotel also has a swimming pool and gym on the roof.
After breakfast, the hotel sent us back to the jetty where we found and boarded the island resort speed boat.
Overall, it's a pleasant stay and trouble free. IMO, this hotel is a good choice for Male layover. "
