"Margarida guided us right in and was a most gracious hostess. The villa was built in 1698 with a chapel and ruined convent adjacent. We had everything we needed to prepare meals. The views were fantastic all around. The property is located within a working farm with sheep, cows and one fat hog. Super private. Close to Evora and other amazing towns. Villa is huge and roomy. "We loved staying at Casa Morgado Esporão. We arrived during a power outage that impacted the entire country and Johnny and staff were amazing, empathetic, and kind. "The 2-bedroom & 2 full bathroom apartment with the common living area was lovely. Clean, spacious and charming. Mafalda greeted us warmly and gave us lots of information. We didn’t realize when we booked that the climb to the 2nd floor would be steep on curving staircases. While we had only carry on luggage and backpacks, it was daunting for us 70 year olds (no elevator). But the staff carried our bags up and down. Whew! Parking was not included and the street in fr"

Great staff

"We arrived in Evora when the power outage occurred across the whole country. The hotel staff was fabulous in trying to help us get what we needed to survive the power outage. They were so kind to store our luggage and direct us to the town for touring. When they turn the generators on, they took excellent care of us with candles as well as food to make our stay more comfortable."
