"The property is what's unique. Staying in a 19th century Victorian mansion should be on everyone's bucket list. We chose the perfect time for our stay with no snow. Would have liked to have seen more of the home, even in pictures, but we were only there for one night. Even so, just imagining how bustling that home would have been in the late 1800's is awe inspiring. The parties that would have been thrown there. So kewl."

"Host is lovely, breakfast was delicious, area is quiet and beautiful, unit has absolutely everything you can possibly require. Optional interaction with resident poodles, who did not bark at all after I was settled in the unit. Beware that if you use the calendar event that Expedia automatically generates on iPhone, the address is NOT correct (takes you next door) and that the Apple map pin on the correct address is also not accurate."

"My wife and I had an incredible stay at Amante Luxury B&B! From the moment we arrived, Mandy and Karl were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the check-in process a breeze. The room was spacious, spotless, and fully equipped with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. We also appreciated the beautiful nature surrounding the cottage. Unfortunately, our stay was brief, as we had a ferry to catch to head...

"Lovely location, easy walking to the marina, shops and restaurants. The property is tucked off the road so is quite quiet! The accommodation is cozy and quaint and was just as described - perfect for curling up on the loveseat (or recliner) reading a novel and enjoying the view! It has a lovely little fireplace heater for ambiance, too! (It was rainy and chilly for part of our trip so this was a bonus!) I discovered beautiful little walking paths throughout Cowichan and we had the added pleasure...

"Recycling and garbage as you walk to the entrance and you walk by looking into the owners kitchen. The main area is also used as a staff room? There is a sign on the fridge that says staff use only and clearly has staff’s food in it. You only actually get a bedroom with a lock on it and a bathroom with cleaning supplies mops etc on the wall. I absolutely did not feel safe especially when I came back and someone had been in the suite. This is not as advertised at all. "

"Description of property didn’t seem accurate, unless I didn’t read properly. It was a shared space, but bedrooms were locked off. Other than that the owners were very nice and helpful. It was clean and quaint. "

"The property is roomy and pleasant. The grounds were well lit. The views and area were spectacular. It was a short car ride to wherever we wanted to go. Property owners were out of town but left clear instructions and had family members on site. We had some minor needs that Cameron immediately took care of. Great stay. "

"Clean and spacious room! We stayed in the two beds plus sofa bed. We were surprised to see a separate room. The kitchenette is stocked with pans and cutlery and the fridge is full sized. My only minor complaint would be the lack of key card granting access to each floor, so practically everyone can have access to the floors to your rooms. "

"Had a great stay with the family, it was such a walkable area with plenty of food options and shopping. Just a block away from the museum and across the street from the government building. The swimming facilities were great, with a lap pool, children’s pool and hot tub. The indoor pool was nice and warm, and the sauna and steam room were a nice option."
