"Property exterior was quite run down-also had dilapidated farm building attached. The interior does not match the exterior at all. We only found out a week before we travelled that there was a hire charge of 20 euro per room for bedding for stays of 7 days or less, had to pay 60 euro more on arrival for our 7 night stay . This is omitted from property details, I think this charge is outrageous. On positive note- the defective oven was replaced in 2 days and Pierre`s wine is excellent."

La rénovation récente de cette maison est une splendide réussite, par la qualité des matériaux, par la mise en valeur des pierres, par la grandeur de chaque chambre avec sdb et wc individuels, par l'agencement et l'équipement de la cuisine et l'espace confortable de la salle à manger et du salon. "The three bedrooms and large living area were just what we needed for a couple of nights. A well equipped kitchen was useful even though we only prepared simple snacks. The area is very peaceful although surrounded by other properties - you would think you were in a remote country cottage. Christophe (the host) was very welcoming and helpful. Check-in and check-out was very simple and straight forward. The listing information needs to be updated but it did not cause any problems with our visit....

"We had a great stay at Nigel‘s place in Roquebrun. The house was perfect for our family reunion (19 people, 3 generations). Plenty of space for everyone to spread out or gather. Plenty of things to do in the area. We‘d love to come back!"

"Had a lovely time in Roquebrun. Andre is a great host, very friendly, easily contactable, quick to respond, fantastic local knowledge and excellent English (thanks). "I just stayed with 6 adults and 2 babies, using 5 bedrooms. Great indoor space and two outdoor areas, one under vine tree and another with a canopy. The pool area is very safe, with gates and very child safe. The pool is awesome and we spent many days here, just chilling. At the pool area there is a shaded area, which have three large ratton sofas. The house is at the edge of a village, with a decent bakery, a Lidl (with 80Kw EV chargers, always available). "Very comfortable, with an amazing pool and beautiful views across the vineyards. Lots of space and different places to have coffee and drink rose! Very well maintained and equipped. Lovely terrace for BBQ and nice garden. Pailhes is well located near Beziers and lots of other activities. A/C is a real bonus in hot weather. The host is incredibly helpful and accommodating. We would highly recommend this property for a lovely relaxing holiday. "

"First off, the woman who opened up the villa was extremely rude and only showed my daughter in law around the villa, insisting everyone else should wait outside. Afer 15 minutes, I'd had enough and went in telling this lady we were coming in. Added to this, the smoke alarms throughout the villa did not work, and as there was no way of securing the separate apartments, we had to close the metal shutters at night. With no smoke alarms, this is unbelievably dangerous. The facilities were adequate...
