We are deaf, and they have no problem communicating with us through the notes app. The view is so beautiful, but it is not easy to walk. I do not recommend walking to Sea Gate from the Ferry. "We loved Hix Island House!! It was quiet, except for nature sounds, and peaceful. Our unit had everything we needed and nothing we didn’t, a comfortable bed with mosquito netting, (I never saw a mosquito or a fly), fridge, 2 burner stove, basic kitchen supplies, plenty of thick towels, ceiling fan, (no air conditioning but it wasn’t needed) and an outside shower.
