"We really enjoyed our couples getaway at LazyBear lodge. The house had a log cabin vibe and build with a private back yard and creek. The neighbors were far enough away for it to feel relatively private and the large windows made us feel closer to nature. The house was well appointed for more guests and the pool table/games were a nice addition. We felt the couches and some other areas could use some updating and it lacked a few niceties for the rental price that would have put it at 5*. In...

"The location is central to many places in the area. The access to the room is through some ramshackle steps that made me wonder if they would hold up. The fixtures are from the 1990s. The hot tub has hot water, but minimal pressure. If you are expecting to be greeted by hotel staff, you won't. The continential breakfast is do-it-yourself coffee. Three stars."

The kitchen, living room and outdoor space is perfect for friends to hang out together, cook and relax inside or on the patio. The new hot tub was a hit after hiking! "We were down to visit family in the area and stayed just for a night. It was spotless and easy to find. The only complaint would be the traffic that fliessss up the road and the house is pretty close to the road so having little kids there would not be feasible but the property was nice and beds were comfortable!!"
