"This is a campground. We stayed in a mobile home. The mobile home was a bit grimy. They have a good restaurant, though. If you are coming in from the Via degli Dei, go around on the road. The gate on the Via degli Dei doesn’t let you in unless you call them and someone comes to open it. They do have a free shuttle to the train station. "

"This villa is big and lovely! It's older but nicely decorated and has italian old world charm while still having modern conveniences. The bedrooms are each uniquely decorated and the beds very comfortable! The bathrooms vary in size and decor but all are fully updated with showers; some are ensuite and some a few steps away from the bedrooms. There are plenty of linens and a washing machine on the lower level. We had a lot of people and "cooked in" a lot...the kitchen is beautiful (chandelier and all) and well equipped (6 burner gas cooktop, electric oven, pizza oven, and grill...there is also a microwave,coffee makers, a big refirgerator and a second smaller one!). The dining room is big and beautiful (with a fireplace) and we had no trouble seating14 people. There's china, stemware, serving dishes, and enough silverware for large groups. The salon/living room is big with a fabulous chandelier and lots of seating (also a TV); we spent a lot of evenings there chatting and hanging out together. The salon opens out (french doors) to a big veranda/patio that has another large table (with a romantic draped awning) for outdoor dining; we ate outside a lot and the view from the patio is absolutely gorgeous...especially at night! There is also outdoor lighting (the property is nice landscaped and cared for) and plenty of parking. You will need a car (or cars, depending on the size of your group)! Our host, Mariolina was the best...always available and helpful! "

"Appearance was soso, restaurant closed first night, opened on Friday serve only one dish and cost $50 euros per person. Cold September no heat they turn on in Sept. Would not stay there again. Only thing going are the views."

"The villa was of a very good size, with plenty of space around it, very secluded and quiet. Anna, the host, was lovely throughout our stay and she waited for us on the first night, even when we had a delay at the airport. "

"Torre San Pietro (20 minutes drive from Florence) We stayed at the prestigious Villa Torre San Pietro for one week with our two physician sons and their families (six adults and two children). Having visited Italy many times before, this stay at Villa Torre San Pietro made us feel at home and allowed us to experience the aristocratic life of Italy. The Villa features: - 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, luxurious bathrooms that look straight out of Architectural Digest. - Comfortable bedding and high-end linens & towels. The Villa is beautifully decorated with paintings and antique Italian furniture. Between the majestic stone watchtower dating back to the 13th century, which our 9-year-old and 5-year-old grandkids called "The Castle." There is the heated pool. (Note: Pool heating costs an additional $25 per day. While we could have stayed in the Tower, which spans four levels, We opted to use the Villa for accommodation and the Tower for hanging out and playing billiards. Cosimo and his wife Cinza, a great chef, greeted us upon arrival and provided instructions. We gave them a 500 Euro cash deposit, which was returned upon departure. Before our arrival, we ordered groceries, from the provided list. Cinza always responded and even prepared dinner for us when we arrived. A car is essential or you can hire Cosimo as your driver.
