"We booked the apartment but ended up having to stay in a hotel room due to issues with the apartment. The hotel room is clean and roomy with lovely view of the city. However, the 2 single beds pushed together is uncomfortable for sleeping. We had to make 3 trips back and forth (they have a number of different buildings for rooms) as we booked for a double bed and all the rooms they gave us were single beds or 2 single beds pushed together. It seemed strange that the receptionist did not know...

"Aus einem Buchungsfehler an der Reception habe ich dann ein Hotelzimmer statt dem Appartement bekommen zum kleineren bezahlten Preis, Wirklich eine sehr, sehr faire und für mich angenehme Lösung, weil ich sonst am Abend nach der Dusche noch mal die Location wechseln hätte müssen. So wurde mir das Hotelzimmer überlasse. Vielen Dank an den netten, kompetenten Herrn an der Reception."

"Nice 14 room hotel. Staff were friendly, breakfast was better than expected. Ended up having breakfast every morning there since it was good. We stayed in room number 2 which exits directly into dining room which was funny, but got used to it. Small Asian convenience store next door with ok prices but don’t try to talk to the cashier , whom is legitimately crazy or mentally handicap (never quiet figured it out) Jaromir the primary host is friendly and speaks good English. "

A kettle to make coffee/tea would be nice. If driving, go via Hinterhelmsdorf and do not follow google maps as those lead through almost impassable backroads. "

"It was an absolute mess to go through the automated self check-in kiosk process, which didn’t work and required us to call concierge to do some tech support. Automated self check-out also didn’t work. Door buzzer code worked intermittently. Shower pressure wasn’t even strong enough to cover the full shower space. Basically, this stay was a contradiction - nice room and comfy space, but lots of random annoyances and frustrations. "

"Location Location Location! Crowning a mountain in stunning wilderness, surrounded by walking paths, quaint villages and ancient castles and churches, it's a beautiful place. Welcomed by the owner, Torsten, who grew up here and whose family ran it before him. As a solo traveller, he went out of his way to make me welcome, even walking down into a local village with me for dinner one night. If you want German culture, landscape, food and hospitality, stay here."

"The entire experience was fantastic and We highly recommend this hotel. The owner was very friendly and helpful, she even gave us an emergency number to reach her if we needed it. The dinner was one of the most delicious we have eaten in a hotel. In addition, there are numerous hiking paths leading from the hotel as well as different options, bus, train, or hiking, for traveling to nearby Oybin. "

"Sechs Tage Urlaub zu viert im Zittauer Gebirge und wir hatten uns ein tolles Ferienhaus gesucht und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Ruhige Lage, tolle Parkmöglichkeiten für beide Autos, super ausgestattete Küche. Wir konnten uns beim abendlichen Kochen austoben und in den bequemen Betten erholsamen Schlaf finden. Kleine Abstriche hatten die Bäder. Wir hatten extra nach zwei Bädern gesucht, leider hat das untere Bad ein Mini Waschbecken, dass weder waschen noch Zähne putzen ohne großes Wasserbad...
