"Great location for innumerable hikes and all kinds of biking. Amazing food, simple but spacious room. No toiletries except for a bar soap. Bathroom tiny but sufficient. A kettle to make coffee/tea would be nice. If driving, go via Hinterhelmsdorf and do not follow google maps as those lead through almost impassable backroads. "

"Pension ist sehr ruhig gelegen und ein gter Ausgangspunkt für viele Wanderungen. Sehr gute Parkmöglichkeiten durch eigenen kostenlosen Parkplatz. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich . An den knarzenden Holzboden muss man sich gewöhnen und leider muss man das Wasser lang laufen lassen, bis es warm wird. "

"We loved everything about this property! Our apartment was spacious and the kitchen had practically everything we needed. The surroundings were beautiful. We were able to walk to a train station and a ferry to cross the river into Schmilka, which was absolutely adorable by the way! Some of the best hiking we have ever done was in the mountains behind the town! We would definitely stay here again! Ansgar, the caretaker, was attentive and lovely! Thank you for everything!"

"Wir haben hier ein Wochenende für Wanderungen verbracht. Die Umgebung bietet dazu viele Möglichkeiten. Die Unterkunft ist zweckmässig ausgestattet und die kleine Küche würde sogar Selbstverpflegung ermöglichen. Das Bad ist modern. Bei schönem Wetter bietet das große Grundstück viele Möglichkeiten zum draussen Frühstücken, sonnen, grillen, Volleyball spielen, etc. Das angebotene Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich, empfehlenswert und wird aufs Zimmer gebracht. "Location Location Location! Crowning a mountain in stunning wilderness, surrounded by walking paths, quaint villages and ancient castles and churches, it's a beautiful place. Welcomed by the owner, Torsten, who grew up here and whose family ran it before him. As a solo traveller, he went out of his way to make me welcome, even walking down into a local village with me for dinner one night. If you want German culture, landscape, food and hospitality, stay here."

Frank und Patrice sind exzellente Gastgeber, immer zu einem Gespräch bereit und geben viele Tips für Unternehmungen, Geographie, Geschichte der Gegend. "The apartment was spacious and had great views. We stayed for three nights and overall had a pleasant experience. However, there are some drawbacks. My biggest complaint was that the windows did not have any screens and we spent the better part of the first evening killing all the critters that had come in the windows. Some we didn't even want to open because we could see so many spiders on the outside of them (up to 10 in one window).There were no fans in the apartment so it was rather stuffy...

We paid the booking in full at the moment of the booking, but the guests couldn't use it and to receive accommodation. By chance we found another accommodation Now we insist that Hotels.com refund us immediately and in full the amount of 752,22 EUR which I paid for the booking! "Stayed for one night because my husband had a business meeting in Pirna. March is clearly off season - a great time to enjoy the gorgeous view of the Elbe River in peace and quiet. Our room was spacious and clean, with that gorgeous view and a huge balcony. The bathroom had enough room to keep our toiletries in there. I really appreciated the extra magnifying mirror and ampel towels. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious. Traditional local specialties, full meals and snack options. Enjoyed a glass of the local wine while soaking in the soothing river view. The main dining room has a great small collection of Saxon Switzerland art. The next morning we savored the nice hot and cold breakfast buffet served in the medieval breakfast room. The hotel staff was very understanding, and let me store my bag there while I used my free ferry card (included in room price) to cross the river for a shopping walk around historic Pirna. Plenty to see and do, and lovely cafes and restaurants. Already planning our next trip. "

"Everything was fine. Excellent and friendly service Two suggestions to the manager: 1. This category of hotel usually offers tea/coffee facilities in the room- keep this standard 2.The bed was quite uncomfortable- two single mattresses of poor quality . On a king or queen bed- put a matching mattress not two put together "
