"We've stayed here before and really liked it. The comfort of the house, the beautiful lake setting and the proximity to our plans for the weekend made it ideal. We are returning once again this fall and we hope more times in the future. "

"Our stay was around when Helene Hurricane came through, Sept 27, 2024. The power was out so the cleaning person wasn't able to finish their task prior to our check in. However, there were clean linens and towels in the basement next to the washing machine. We also had trash bags, clean dishes and running water but no power. The cabin was nicely located in Seneca which wasn't far from the university. The cabin was also easy to find. "

"We could only check in after 7pm (staff problem after Hurricane Helene) and they didn't give me the room I had booked (2 large beds). They gave me a small room with 1 double bed and offered to put a single bed in it, but we didn't accept because there was almost no space in the room for it."

"Our family stayed at Anchors Down and we had a great, relaxing time. Property has a private feel and we enjoyed the screened porch. The house was clean, beds were comfortable. Good host communication. "

"We loved our stay. Our hosts were available for all questions. The location was quiet yet close to Greenville and our favorite Paris Mountain. We went to many dinners, attended a show at the Peace Center and also made it to Table Rock. All easy drives without highway traffic."
