"It was our first time in the UP and the lodge was perfect. My wife and I loved, and spent most of every evening in the lounge area playing the pinball and dart games. If we ever make it up that way again, we will definitely be staying at the lodge. Some bedrooms perhaps overcrowded with beds, but it depends on your needs. We will only used the main bedroom. It had a nice balcony and view. Casual, not elegant, but perfect for our needs. Kitchen had everything we needed and property was clean. It was great that we could bring our dog with us. Communication was excellent.. cell reception not so...

"This place is special. As described, it is beautifully situated on a private lake deep in the countryside of Michigan’s upper peninsula, while offering every comfort of home. We took full advantage of the fire pit, lake view, and the trails. Our host was very responsive when we had questions. The ONLY reason I have it 4 stars in “cleanliness”is due to flies, which is to be expected in a wooded setting."
