Staff was nice, the location was great and room was generally clean. My complaints come from the fact that nowhere during booking did it say that they were undergoing construction. This included the pool that we were unable to use during our stay. Breakfast was also lacking options. The usual variety we have come to expect from holliday inn express were not represented. Options of omelet and bacon with some type of bread and yogurt were all there was. The pancake machine was broken :(

Had a lodge looking style which was very nice and the minute you walked in the door, you had beautiful views of Lake Superior through the dining area! We hit peak foliage time and it was stunning! Drawback was that even though we got there early in the day, we could not change our room to one with a balcony (even if we paid extra) because we got our room through Expedia. ☹️ Only a 5 to 10 minute drive into Munising. Another drawback is that the parking area is below the hotel, so whoever drives has to walk up several flights of stairs after dropping off their passengers-if needed.

Jesus Christ IS come in the flesh and this hotel just awsome. It was filled but no issues. Just a perfect stay. Mackinac Island Grand Hotel was nice just before this one, yet we truly enjoyed the convenience and hospitality of this Holiday Inn Express...Jesus loves you and so do I.
