"This was our second stay at The Fintch. We really liked the decor and the location. I would suggest that the couches be replaced or repaired. They have seen better days. However the cabin was well supplied and very clean. I recommend a stay at the Fintch! "

"The tiny log cabin exceeded all of our expectations! The location is absolutely stunning! It’s right on the edge of a peaceful lake, surrounded by tall pines. The cabin itself is cozy yet spacious, with beautiful wooden interiors and a large stone fireplace that made it feel so warm and inviting.The highlight, though, was the hot tub. Soaking under the stars with the lake shimmering nearby was the most relaxing experience ever! The hosts were wonderful!"

"The service was great and it was a very quiet area so we were able to get the rest needed. It is a charming historical building, so although it is very dated, we were totally fine with it. The location is somewhat remote…..it’s a sleepy town, just what we wanted."

"We had a girls getaway weekend and this was the perfect place to do it! From the moment we walked in everything was perfect! Jess is a very thoughtful host and we had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend including towels, robes, coffee, tea, and even a charcuterie board upon arrival! You can tell that Jess has put a lot of time and thought into each little detail. We can’t wait to make this our yearly getaway! Highly recommend :)"

"My spouse and I enjoyed our weekend away together , amazing views, lots of wood to burn, getting to the water was a mission, updated outhouse would be a good investment in the future, but eveything was wonderful and the property owners were so sweet and kind "

"The property was nicely secluded, with multiple trails leading up to the top of the escarpment with a lovely view of Golden Lake. The cabin itself was clean and cozy, and the AC was perfect for sleeping as we went in a 35° July heatwave. Great little fire pit with affordable firewood supplied by the hosts. Be mindful of leaving any dry food in the screened-in kitchenette if going out for more than an hour -- the local chipmunks are hungry and know what they're looking for. Only minor...

"Our stay in this idylic location was exactly what we had hoped for. Our hosts arranged access to a motor boat outfitted for fishing and the lake was peaceful and beautiful. The accommodations were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We can’t wait to go back."

"This little log cabin was a great place to stay. We were only in the area briefly for a family wedding but the cabin more than met our needs. Our only complication was that there was no one to orientate us on arrival, but we got things sorted with a minimum of effort and keys had been left for us to lock up when we came and went.We would have liked to explore the area more but perhaps another time."

"We had a fabulous time at this very quaint and quiet loft cabin in the woods. The cabin had everything you required and then some. It was prefect for my wife and I. "The property is absolutely beautiful. The house, yard, and river are immaculately kept and were exactly as advertised. The hottub and sauna were amazing as well. Unfortunately, the hosts felt the need to constantly be involved throughout our stay. From showing up on property unannounced, to sending regular text messages either berating us or informing us we were being "listened to through the camera". The constant unwarranted interactions really had a negative impact on our stay. At one stage,...

"A cottage well equipped to make meals, enjoy sunsets in porch without worry of mosquitos, equipment for folks who enjoy water sports. However, no TV coverage, only WIFI so evenings , if not folks who enjoy doing games, watching DVDs, evenings can be boring. Toilet usage can be a bit troublesome if a large group as takes time for removal of wastes via toilet. Overall, for us, it met our needs. "
