"This is a great hotel. We were there in winter so it wasn’t too busy and we were upgraded to a larger room that overlooked the main square. We were able to open our Juliet balcony doors and listen to the street performers from our the comfort of our room. We drove and arriving and parking was challenging because of the subway construction but once we were settled everything was fantastic. "

"Hotel is in desperate need of a FULL renovation, rooms are small and almost none amenities, breakfast was poor and served in a box. We stayed at room 305, the door dint close completely and we can see the light from the hallway it was disturbing to sleep. If you want to charge your mobile devices there was only one electric plug. No AC and during a hot summer night it was hard to sleep. Basically the only good thing is the location."

"I had a wonderful stay at Cale Guest House. The location is perfect—so accessible to many of Porto's top sightseeing spots, making it easy to explore the city. The view from my room was exceptional, and the rooftop area added an extra special touch for enjoying the night scenery. The house itself is old but beautiful, filled with character, and the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. There are plentiful restaurants and crossing the river there are many port( fortified wine) companies where you can do tours and tastings.
