"My wife and I were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary, and we had an excellent time there. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the amenities were perfect for a quiet adults only break. My only gripe is that there were not enough sun beds and towels, they should have a rule that if you have not used your bed or towel in an hour you loose the bed as many people would put towels on a bed as early as 7 am and not use the bed until way after lunch. "

"Hidden Gem is a perfect place to relax and just hang by the pool, or recline on the deck facing the ocean. It is not a place where you can step out the door and be on the beach or at a restaurant. If you have a car, Miami Beach is 5 minutes away. We went to Oistens (5 min by car) on a Thursday night and really enjoyed our fish dinner. (The guide books make it sound like it is only on Fridays. "I loved , loved this beautiful property. It was so peaceful and idyllic…. Our room was recently renovated and was very comfortable. The pool and the main house was very well preserved…. Breakfast the first morning was complimentary and was very tasty! The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Please don’t hesitate to book. The pictures doesn’t do it justice. "

"We loved our stay at Sugar Bay. The staff are wonderful and the location is beautiful. The food is some of the best quality we’ve had at an all inclusive. There is a slightly more limited choice for food compared to some of the bigger hotels, but it is varied enough (with themes some nights to break it up) to ensure you don’t get fed up. There is a great beach side bar, with a great choice of cocktails and a beer/wine/brut when you want something less sweet. The cocktails are good quality, but understandably not quite city cocktail bar standard. However, certainly good quality for an all inclusive, and always served quick. The bar staff were fantastic too. The staff around the hotel, especially Kimberly and Shamara who were seen cleaning around the ground floor, always greeted you with a smile and conversation. The rooms were nice, but without many frills, and some slight cosmetic damages - but with the beach as beautiful as it was you didn’t want to spend any time in there anyway! "

"We needed a place for one night before departing for a cruise the next day. This place was perfect. Spotless and very comfortable. But the best part was our host, Anderson. He arranged for transport from the airport and, for a fair and modest fee, he drove us to a favorite local place for dinner on the sea with delicious food and festive live music. He also drove us to the port the next morning. He was genuinely interested in getting to know us and made our already pleasant experience even better. Highly recommend if you are in need of similar lodging. "
