"Check in was very quick and easy. It is very close to Joshua Tree national park which we were there to visit. If you do go to Joshua Tree go to the visitors center in Twenty Nine palms rather than the Joshua tree one it is just down the road from this hotel. There are some great restaurants just down the road from here. The breakfast was fresh and had some great simple options. Overall a nice stay here."

"Hotel and staff were great. They had the best breakfast waffles of any hotel I've ever stayed. On the down side for how much I paid I expected housekeeping to service my room daily. You have to make an appointment 24hrs in advance to get housekeeping in. Really? I had to carry wet used towels down stairs to swap out with clean ones. I won't stay there again."

"My sister & I were absolutely thrilled with this property as our home base for exploring Joshua Tree National Park. The location is exceptionally convenient to the park entrance as well as several excellent restaurants and grocery shopping. The kitchen included everything we needed. We slept soundly thanks to the quiet neighborhood and comfortable beds. The entire property was even more beautiful and clean than the photos indicate. Garrett was prompt with each communication, including offers to help (but nothing was needed- I’m serious, this place is perfect!) If we’re lucky enough to get back, we would definitely hope to stay again at DesertHaze. Thank you so much! "

"This gem of a rental is warm, decadent and so comfortable. Every living space celebrates the art of living. From the beautiful bed and bed frames to the landscaping, to the pool and all the outdoor set ups for little picnics and snacks. The house is full of books you will want to lose yourself in. The pool is so thoughtfully designed and tucked in the boulders. This is the kind of place that you want to keep a secret. We were myself, my husband, two daughters (5 and 6), my parents and my aunt (70). Everyone adored this place, and it met us where we all were. We didn't even have a need to go into the park, as we were surrounded by a private backyard of boulders and Joshua tree. The kids loved swimming in the pool every day--in March! and even dragged us in, which was surprisingly refreshing and delightful. Dale, the owner, is a magical human being who we were so lucky to get to spend time with. The stories he shared, both of his life and of this space, were part of the best memories we have. If you have the luxury to get to know him during your stay, there is no better souvenir to take from Joshua Tree. There is a 10-page agreement that comes with the rental. It is Dale's love letter to this special property. I loved reading it; I loved following all the rules, knowing that is what keeps it beautiful and allows us all to have really nice things. Highly recommend! "

"They embossed the toilet paper rolls! Never seen that. Room was meticulously clean. jacuzzi was nice. Pool had dirt in the bottom, but in the windy desert you gotta expect that. Ice machine was quiet. Nice stay."
