"Stayed one night to visit family was our second visit a fantastic quirky hotel very interesting place to stay . Had a comedy night on what a bonus curry and comedy only £15.I would thoroughly recommend a very kind and caring work environment for the hardworking staff. Very nice breakfast.I will be visiting again and hope top tie in with another comedy night. "

"We have an annual mum and daughters, plus dogs, getaway every year, but usually in the Spring, so choosing Norfolk in November, would be a little different, but this time we had my 4 year old granddaughter with us. I chose this particular stay as we wanted somewhere that wasn't too far from anything, but also being near to a beach, which is great for dogs and kids, regardless of the weather and that is exactly what we got. Blue Boat cottage itself was the perfect place to stay. Cosy and clean and with everything we could have asked for and more. The garden being mostly paving and pebbles was ideal having a dog along with us and I can imaging sitting outdoors, in the better weather, with a few drinks. Lesley, the owner, was so welcoming and communicated well in advance of our stay, especially when I needed a few changes made to the booking, like adding a child and a dog etc. A lovely touch on arrival was to find a basket, with dog treats, crisps, bread and biscuits as well as a bottle of milk in the fridge. This was a pleasant surprise as we were all ready for a cuppa when we arrived after a four hour journey, and we didn't have to nip to the shop first. Everything is so nearby, a big CoOp that sells everything and then some lovely little shops, cafe's, takeaways etc along the way to the beach which was only a 10 minute walk. We are already planning to return next Spring/Summer and I would highly recommend to anyone, as it suits all ages, including four legged friends "

"Me and my husband stayed overnight in Skegness while visiting a friend who lives near by . I chose the hotel because of private parking . However if it was full to capacity and everyone had a car there would be nowhere near enough room . A sign in the door was offering rooms for £35 and that’s about right. ( for us this was a free night from hotel.com ) The bed was extremely uncomfortable . Very low and a mattress that was more like a trampoline ( and not much thicker ) with a dip in the middle . No bedside lamps, hand towels , or bath mat for outside the shower. On a positive note the room and bathroom , although in need of a little tlc were clean , and the hotel is a few minutes walk from the Main Street on the front, with restaurants and pubs nearby . The gentleman who greeted us was extremely friendly, polite . This is not the best place we have stayed in , but it is also not the worse . For youngsters who just want a place to crash after a night out , it is probably ideal . Alas not so ideal for a semi retired couple . "

"Booked for a saturday night. Planned to arrive in the morning and park in the large car park. Unfortunately this is also a golf club so the car park was full so could not. Had we arrived around check in time 1500hrs, there would have been plenty of parking slots. Even non-EV cars parked in the EV charging bays so you can't bank on charging your car. Was not allowed to early check in even though the hotel was not busy. Room had a sea view. However this means that you also over look the car park. Also guests at an evening function walk, and talk, under your room window. There is a decent bar with a good bar food menu. Also a good quality restaurant. I shall be using this hotel again as it was a good price and room was very good. "
