"Location, accommodation, and host were 5 star. When we arrived, Antonella had pasta, sauce and fresh homebaked bread for us. The view from the property was amazing, the beds were incredibly comfortable and everything was very clean. One thing that is probably a "lost in translation" is a reference to a hot tub/jacuzzi. We did not see one, but it did have a tub in one of the bathrooms (which we used). Overall, a dream escape in Tuscany!"

"What an amazing place! Volpaia is a unique venue, in a beautiful setting and it was a joy to stay there. Our room was lovely- comfortable, clean and with a stunning view- even from the loo! "The property was beautiful and overall we enjoyed our stay! The pool and the available excursions made it very enjoyable. Our only criticism is that we we’re originally told the restaurant would be open the first night we were there and it wasn’t. Instead we got a “pizza party” this was fine except the cost was not presented to us prior. The pool was also closed early due to a wedding. It would have been nice to know this prior to our stay because it lead to a bit of disappointment. It would...

"Had wonderful experience. Spacious. Clean. Quite pleasing view as well. Would have been better if it was river view, but terrace view wasn't that bad. Bed was comfy as well. Staff were all friendly."

"Hotel Calimala Firenze was probably one of the best hotels nested in the heart of Florence. My family of four was traveling Italy for 11 days during last Christmas holiday. We chose to stay at Hotel Calimala from 12:25-12/27. If you have a chance to stay at this property, please choose it without any hesitation. We reserved 2 bedrooms next to each other ( one room occupied by my 13 and 15 yr old sons). We stayed at a deluxe bedroom and everything was perfect. Welcome gifts and bottled water were served daily. We also had great amenities offered in both bedrooms. Breakfast was great and plentiful. House keeping was provided daily. Hotel staffs were very professional and courteous. Also everything is in walking distance. Uffizzi Museum was only 3 minutes away, shopping centers and restaurants were just minutes away, and even Duomo was only 4 minutes away. We plan to return to this property again in near future when visiting Italy. "

"We contacted the hotel to see if we could drop off our bags early and they said yes. When we arrived 2 hours early, our room was ready so we were allowed to check in then which was a pleasant surprise! They had free bottles of water in the room for us and bedroom shoes. The staff was very friendly and they did a great job in cleaning our room. The hotel was beautiful and we had a pleasant stay."
