"My wife and I spent 3 wonderful nights at the Sandbar. The bedroom we stayed and the common areas on the ground floor were very inviting and comfortable. Chris and his team went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant visit. Each morning there were two breakfast options (one savory, one sweet) and in the afternoon some homemade treats to go with the coffee and tea. Highly recommend. "

"The Primrose Inn was a pleasant stay. All that was served and offered there was great. Staff were friendly and courteous. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The beds were comfortable as well. The area was nice, and safe to walk the streets at night. Shops, restaurants and Island Explorer shuttle bus were all accessible , and a short walking distance from our stay. Highly recommend . "

The property was spacious and well maintained, and Anne provided impeccable service with fresh cookies, wine & cheese, and incredible breakfasts. The location was great, as we could walk to anywhere in Bar Harbor and easily hop in the car to head to the park. We absolutely loved our stay!"

"The property is rustic but nice. There is a bathroom with shower on 1st and 2nd floor but the water pressure in the house does not sustain use of both at the same time. The main kitchen refrigerator was not working during our stay. There are minifridges on the 2nd and 3rd floor but it would have been nice to have working main floor fridge."

"Normally my wife and I are not big bed and breakfast people. However, Harbour Cottage had some of the best reviews in the Acadia National Park area. We gave it a try and we are so glad we did. The Inn Keeper, Arlo, was very helpful with advice on trails. The Owner, Don, was friendly and helpful with tour and restaurant recommendations. "We loved our stay at Idle Hour II. Especially all the windows from which we could take in the surroundings. Bar Harbor and Acadia was an easy 45 min drive. Beds (seemed to be the same) were not our favorite for comfort. Everything's was clean and had the amenities we needed. Having 2 camping chairs in the utility room was great - we ate our lunch on Sand Beach in comfort! We would definitely stay again. "
