My husband & I recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It was one of the worst hotel stays we've ever had.
Pros:
The location is great. We walked downtown and enjoyed great meals with no parking hassles.
The front desk staff is helpful and knowledgeable about the area.
The lobby area had cookies and breakfast items and coffee/tea.
Cons:
The room. We reserved a Classic King. The room is described as "Victorian Elegance: and the hotel is described as "Completely Updated". We found the furnishings to be a mishmash of outdated and random unmatched pieces. While this may be a matter of opinion, we found it unorthodox for a hotel to be using extension cords and power strips (potential fire hazard) in the room. We resorted to charging a phone in the bathroom. Most "updated" hotels have nightstand lights with built-in chargers.
The heating/cooling unit is right next to the bed, making it difficult to sleep when it runs. We could also hear the toilet flush in the room above every time it was used. Ear plugs helped us sleep through the night.
To top it off, we called the hotel the week prior to arrival to ask about on-site laundry facilities. We were told they had an on-site laundry. We were shocked when we inquired in the lobby as to the location of said facilities, and were told they had none.
Lastly, upon checkout, we were told because we booked with Expedia, they'd send us a receipt. Never happened.
We wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
