"This was probably one of the nicest boutique hotels we have stayed in with amazing friendly staff. Great location to explore the city. Wonderful breakfast and complementary cakes and coffee throughout the day. The property was a wonderful peaceful haven of calm to return to after exploring the busy city. "QS was very comfortable. Palermo is very interesting & historic, but also rundown & very dirty. We didn’t expect so many abandoned buildings. The hotel was in a great location but the general area was a bit run down. Typical. Would stay again. "

"I enjoyed a wonderful birthday vacation. Stefania and the team were extremely helpful in recommending restaurants and helping in booking my birthday meal. The location is perfect as very near the historical & shopping areas. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Palermo. "

"This hotel is really close to Cefalu train station. The City Center is walkable. Everyone is friendly and food is decent. The only thing that I did not like was that I had to carry my luggages down a flight of stairs. I did not know that there is an elevator option, but someone from the inside has to open the door because the elevator is inside another building at the left side."

"The entrance stairways reflects poorly on the quality of the room. An unclean stairways, steep and going up to the roof, leads to the B&B entrance. Once entered, the B&B is fully clean and of good quality. Very loud music at night till 2am from the neighborhood parties, on a nearby square. "

"Gabrielle was amazing!!!! So nice and welcoming and great english! Accommodation was incredible too the only downfall was that our sheets ad towels didn’t get changed during our week long stay. "

"Highly recommended! The experience is really amazing. From a typical southern Italy family, my friend appreciated the fab traditional decorations in the shared space once entering the living room. The room is spacious with two beds. The neighbourhood is quiet. Everything is clean and well equipped. Gabriele also suggested a very nice dinner place for us which was very delicious! We will be back when visiting Palermo again :) "

"Communication with the owner was great! The apartment was in a good location and neighbourhood. Very spacious apartment! With AC which helped with the hot weather! Bonus points for the owner who allowed us to keep our suitcases in the apartment after check out for a few hours as we had a late flight and for arranging a taxi to the airport! Thank you! "

"With no doubt the best place I’ve stayed for for. Maybe it’s not a typical hotel but a very high standard guesthouse with breakfast service and the most luxurious rooms to stay in. Big shower, hot tub with massage, sauna and big comfy bed it’s just hard to describe how happy we are to had been able to stay in Five Suite Palermo "

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Golds Suite & Spa. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful even though we did not speak Italian. The hotel was within walking distance of restaurants sightseeing and shopping. We would stay there again."

"Good location to visit the Historical District by walking. Fabrizio is an excellent host. Gives you great suggestions. Be aware: parking can be difficult as it is on street only."

"The room was somewhat satisfactory but the b&b was surrounded by Garbage. Palermo has a very few clean areas. The highlight was the Teatro Massimo. It's location is good for walking but the trash everywhere makes it difficult."

" We had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Grand Hotel et Des Palmes in Palermo for two weeks in January 2025, and it was an unforgettable experience. The hotel's rich history as a former castle has been beautifully preserved, and its stunning architecture and decor only added to our enchantment. But what truly made our stay exceptional was the warm and welcoming staff. The entire front desk team and concierge were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Special mention must be made of Marina, who introduced us to some of the most authentic and wonderful local Sicilian gems, hidden away from the usual tourist trails. Her insider knowledge and passion for the region were invaluable, and we felt like we experienced the real Sicily thanks to her recommendations and professionalism. Bruno, too, was a huge help, assisting us in finding our way around the city and providing us with expert advice. His kindness and expertise made a significant difference to our stay, and we're so grateful to have had him as a resource. The cleanliness of the room was beyond our expectations, and the breakfast in the morning was complete and nutritional. What struck us most, however, was the hotel's reputation among the locals. Every time we mentioned the hotel's name to anyone in Palermo, their response was and full of fond memories. One business owner in a boutique I shopped at told me she got married 30 years ago in the hotel. Amazing place"
