"QS was very comfortable. Palermo is very interesting & historic, but also rundown & very dirty. We didn’t expect so many abandoned buildings. The hotel was in a great location but the general area was a bit run down. Typical. Would stay again. "

"The entrance stairways reflects poorly on the quality of the room. An unclean stairways, steep and going up to the roof, leads to the B&B entrance. Once entered, the B&B is fully clean and of good quality. Very loud music at night till 2am from the neighborhood parties, on a nearby square. "

"Not the cleanest place to be. Unfortunately, when you find hair on the bedding and stains on the toilet bowl, your staying experience is going down. Not recommended. "

"We had a lovely stay at this property, Nadia met us at the property and showed us around and gave us plenty of tips for the area. The room was clean and tidy with everything we needed for our stay, the balcony was great. I would happily stay at this property again if in the city"

"This was probably one of the nicest boutique hotels we have stayed in with amazing friendly staff. Great location to explore the city. Wonderful breakfast and complementary cakes and coffee throughout the day. The property was a wonderful peaceful haven of calm to return to after exploring the busy city. The room was very spacious, beautifully decorated and chic. Highly recommend"

"This was a perfect Palermo stay, far better than anticipated. Stefanía provided excellent communication and attention. The location in front of Teatro Massimo was ideal and our room was large, clean and comfortable, surrounded by good dining and shopping. Breakfasts were attractively presented. We can’t imagine a better place to stay in Palermo."

"The room we got was nice and spacious with a good size bathroom and a lovely balcony with great view. It was easy to deal with the manager, but we spoke italian. The area is a bit dodgy, and the street was quite noisy until about 2am on Friday. No shower gel or soap. Overall, good value for money, would recommend it."

"Highly recommended! The experience is really amazing. From a typical southern Italy family, my friend appreciated the fab traditional decorations in the shared space once entering the living room. The room is spacious with two beds. The neighbourhood is quiet. Everything is clean and well equipped. Gabriele also suggested a very nice dinner place for us which was very delicious! We will be back when visiting Palermo again :) "

"This hotel is really close to Cefalu train station. The City Center is walkable. Everyone is friendly and food is decent. The only thing that I did not like was that I had to carry my luggages down a flight of stairs. I did not know that there is an elevator option, but someone from the inside has to open the door because the elevator is inside another building at the left side."

"Our booking was cancelled one hour before arrival - even though we spoke with the reservations desk on the same morning to confirm… very disappointing! Not being able to view emails during our drive or make a call made our evening very stressful that day."

"We were an adult family group of n Sicily for the first time and Villa Consiglio was the perfect place to explore from. The Villa, pool and its many terraces enjoy views towards Palermo and Cefalu which could be easily reached by car or train. The villa was quiet and away from the centre but just a few minutes to the town by car. The owners went to great lengths to welcome us and Carlo was always available to deal with any questions, to guide us to the villa and run us to the train station....

"Property located adjacent to very old olive tree orchard. Scenic mountain back drop with ocean view. Spacious upstairs flat with full amenities. Beautiful pool and garden in the yard. Private driveway. Only 2 cons, must have rental car because located in a hard to access part of Trabia, roads are difficult to navigate. And property owners speak very little English, so just plan to use google translate. Highly recommend if you are looking for the real Sicilian experience!"

Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr schön ausgestattet: mehrere Schlafzimmer, Bad mit Waschmaschine, geräumige Wohnküche und vor allem die schöne Terrasse. Den Pool und die Gartenliegen haben wir ganz verpasst zu nutzen, weil wir bei dem schönen Oktoberwetter am Meer waren, oder die zentrale Lage für Ausflüge nach Palermo, Cefalu(Tip!) Trapani, Madonieberge und sogar...

"Porta de Castro was a wonderful stay. The only thing is if you want quiet, the street it is located on is busy and quite a bit of honking. Didn’t bother me, popped in some ear buds at night. The breakfast and staff were amazing!!! I felt very welcomed and the staff helped me with any questions, plus lots of suggestions on what to do in the areas. Very convenient to walk to almost any place, including the train station. "

"Nice location and easy access to the city center - all attractions. Walking distance for great food street. Regarding Hotel - very nice, awesome and courteous and very helpful - from doorman, to bellmen, front desk as well staff for the breakfast. Highly recommend for the quality stay in Palermo. "

A haven in the middle of Palermo

"The hotel was centrally located. It's a grand old building with beautiful marble decor and glorious chandeliers. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The rooftop restaurant was a delightful fine dining experience at a good price. "

"This hotel was set right on the water with a private beach, kayaks, and paddle boat. Our room was very large, and all the rooms have their own balcony. The hotel is very quiet because nobody is above or below you in another room. It's so easy to drive into Cefalu and park, and the hotel has its own parking lot. The breakfast was fine, rather basic, but overall, we loved the setting right on the ocean and would happily stay again. "

"Fantastic boutique hotel/BB. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and the welcome was great. Our room was large, clean and well appointed. We were overlooking the street below, with a cute balcony. Noise levels were fine, even with live music and a vibrant nightlife on the doorstep (just make sure you close the door properly!) We'll be back to Palermo, and we'll be back to Boutique B&B Vintage too! "
