"we spent a night in the hotel so we can start hiking Kumano Kodo early next day. nice hotel, they claim they have the biggest outdoor hot spring pool, but we used smaller family pool, the setting is very like outdoor pool."

"We thought the staff were so accommodating. Nothing was a problem. We asked to cancel our Japanese breakfast and they applied the cost as a credit toward our dinner meal, which was excellent. Provided an extra pillow and always had fresh towels for the onsen. They also helped with directions to various places we visited. Beautiful view of the river from where you sit in the onsen. Arigatogozaimasu!"

The kitchen has all you need to make a meall but we didn’t bring any food with us. We only stayed one night but would come back and stay. There is a toilet in the room and went to the public onsen to bathe. The chicken yakatori place down the road is a must. "
