"Fab location with views to die for! Old building a little dated in places but very clean and mostly well maintained. The staff exceptionally friendly and welcoming especially Katie on reception who helped when I went to report my TV was not working. The staff is the restaurant were very attentive and the food was outstanding, quite the best sea bass I’ve ever had! Nice pool and steam room. Would definitely stay again…"

Roundhouse Yurt, Stunning Views, Totnes Dartmouth

Beautiful off grid experience

"The yurt was very comfortable and warm. The wood burner provides an ample heat and there was a good supply of wood. The bed was comfortable. Parking is simple and close by. The yurt is very much off grid. The cooker works well with bottled gas. There is no running water. To take a shower involves boiling a giant kettle and carrying the water to the wooden outbuilding and mixing with cold rain water then using a solar powered shower pump. Was impressed that you can shower with surprisingly little water. It really is back to nature but not great if u were in a hurry. Same with sawdust toilet. Fine but after a weekend missing some creature comforts. Views from the yurt are beautiful as was the walk in the woods. If u want to use the hot tub there is a substantial charge of £90. River water used so has some sediment though the water is changed between guests. If u are looking to slow down and reconnect with nature this was a good weekend experience "

Fab little find.

"Fab little find. A really nice hotel with lovely staff. Lovely rooms. Little bit of damage in my room but this was explained with a lovely note. Rooms are very well decorated and the bathroom was very clean. My only negative is the breakfast start time at 8am. With being at work I could have done with it being a little earlier. However it’s much more suited to holidaymakers. I will for sure return. "

"Can’t fault our stay at the sea trout, the staff were so helpful and welcoming. The room was fine, not anything special but lovely and clean. We were staying in the area for a wedding, without a car it’s quite hard to get around although the hotel were really helpful with providing local taxis. If you’re staying here, would recommend eating in the restaurant, the food was amazing! Would recommend"

"Totnes is a beautiful historic town, with a wealth of unique shops on the high street. The home is in easy level access reach to the town centre and river. Our host for the accommodation was wonderful and accommodating to our needs. Happily use this home again."
