"Overall, the stay was very good and was perfect for our trip to the Lake District. The location is perfect for navigating the Lakes as easy access to the M6. To the top of the lakes, it took us 1 hour by car. The continental breakfast served was plenty to start each day with. You can have cooked for £12 extra but we felt the continental option was more than enough. The room was spacious and up to date. We stayed in the Herdsman. "Our room was really accommodating with a king and bunk beds for three generations of “girls”! Nice breakfast included. If you forgo cleaning service, an adult beverage was included for each guest for one night."

"We went here with the family, the host took very good care of us. Nice pub, food in the restaurant and breakfast, everything was good. The rooms were great. We had a great stay. "

"The executive suite at The Inn was absolutely gorgeous, probably the nicest room we have ever stayed in, with an amazing view! However, we didn't sleep great because the bed was particularly uncomfortable, which is a shame because everything else was perfect!"

"Modern upto date decor. Very clean and tidy. Delicious breakfast and friendly staff. The only gripe was that I used the 'contact the hotel' on Hotels.com app asking whether we could park the car in the morning before 3pm check in. No reply received. I sent a second message. No reply. I filled in an on line check in, including car registration number but still had to do the same form again at the hotel"

"One of our go to places when up in Kendal for business. Clean & friendly and a good choice of things on the menu. Food is delicious! Only downfall we had was we booked a certain table for dinner one evening and one member of staff had moved us and was quite rude about it! Original table was empty the whole time we were in the restaurant! Wouldn’t have minded if she had been polite and explained why the move had been made!"

"Such a lovely place to rest our head for the evening. Walking distance to the train station where we met our tour guide for the tour of Hilltop (Beatrix Potter’s house). The breakfast was absolutely delish! Staff was so friendly! Our room was spacious and so very clean. Also, our bed was quite comfortable. My daughter and I loved this place."

"Stayed here a few times and can't know it... Great location, allows pets, great value, kitchenettes in the rooms are super handy... parking can be a bit tricky when busy, and the rooms a bit toasty.... But other than that it's a great stay."

"Really enjoyed it and it’s in a good location for pubs and for the bus out. The room was clean, however sofa isn’t comfortable and neither is the bed, leaving no comfort whatsoever which would have been nice when your tired travelling around the lakes. The light from the emergency exit also made it really hard to sleep. The key for the door needs fixing. It took us atleast 5 minutes everytime to get in, I believe the key is twisted but needs replacing. Overall I think it’s worth the money...
