"The hotel had a lovely atmosphere with well chosen antique furniture. Staff were both helpful, polite and efficient. Happy to help with a last minute change of booking and also room change to allow us a quieter room on our last night. Breakfast was very good with a great range of cereals and fruit. The homemade fruit yoghurt was a nice surprise Locally sourced food was evident in the cooked breakfast. This is a great hotel handily located close to restaurants and shops."

"Lovely two night stay at Holly Lodge! Great location, really nice room, very clean and staff were friendly :) Also self-check in and out was really convenient! would definitely recommend and stay again. "

"Great location for Ambleside and the Lakes in general (you can get buses, to other Lake District towns, from Ambleside so can park up and leave the car at hotel). Really friendly helpful staff. Definitely would stay again if in area. "

"Lovely hotel near the centre of Keswick and not too far from the lake. We booked a lake view, the room was comfortable and warm. The room comes with a good breakfast to start your day. Parking is a bonus, we had to pay for this as we had not booked direct with the hotel. You can park for free out the front of the hotel if you are lucky to get a space. Staff are polite and friendly. Great weekend, thank you. "

"Fabulous location with lovely walks in many directions right from the doorstep. Nice room with great en-suite and lovely Bath House toiletries. Delicious breakfast with lots of choice and the hot selection was really well cooked. Friendly and efficient staff - would definitely recommend and stay again. "

"Had a lovely stay here recently, the staff were really great and very friendly, even allowing me to stay in my room later than the official check-out time as I was getting ready for a wedding. The room itself could have been a little cleaner and one of the lamps by the bed didn't work, but overall it was perfectly fine and more than clean enough for rooms above a pub :) The bed was wonderfully comfortable and I had one of the best nights sleep I've had in a while (especially after driving 7...

"We absolutely loved our time at Windermere Suites and Windermere. Vicky and Alex were very welcoming and helpful. We loved their advice on places to see, their helpfulness and good conversation. The breakfast was delicious and very generous with a wide variety to choose from. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The bathroom was amazing with a massive spa bath, mood lighting and tv. Our stay here has certainly been a highlight of our European trip!"

"We had a wonderful stay at 1 Park Road in September, having stayed here now for many years. Hilton is an excellent host and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is beautiful with allergens catered for with prior notice. Such a relaxing time in the lovely bright dining room. "Really friendly greeting, all spotlessly clean and fresh. Room and private bathroom likewise. Breakfast was spot on,great choice and quality. Definately recommend. Free parking pass included in the price for the nearby public carpark. Thank you."

"We thought the hosts were really lovely and the location of the guesthouse was ideal for us for walking. There are two pubs within walking distance which serve fantastic food: Coledale inn and Royal Oak. However, we had a downstairs room and seemed to have been really unlucky with the guests upstairs who woke us up every hour during the night. Thankfully, we were only staying a couple of nights as we were absolutely exhausted by the end. Would recommend a stay, just maybe ask for an upstairs...

"I had an excellent stay at Ellerbrook House. It’s conveniently located a block away from the Windermere High Street. I was able to walk into town every night with a great choice of local cafes, restaurants and pubs. My room was fantastic. To my surprise I had what looks like a new but very large bed. My room was completely renovated. New bathroom fittings good water pressure. I was on the top floor and found it very quiet at night and it was well heated. My room was made up every day...

"Nice caravan, situated close to all amenities, if you have stayed in a Haven Park before this caravan would be classed as a Bronze accommodation, to give you the comparison if you were to book your stay with Haven direct. Weather was great, park very busy with the weekend campers (tents) this area was packed, kids play park was a free for all, I would say too small for the amount of families staying onsite, wonder what the middle of summer holidays would be like when all caravans and camping...

"This hotel is perfect. Perfect location. A few minutes walk into the town. The spa/pool/jacuzzi area is excellent and very relaxing. Close to all the restaurants and pubs but far enough out so it is quiet. The only niggle was you could feel the springs in the bed. However if you are only staying a few nights then it isn’t a massive issue. Just a shame as the bed looks amazing. It hasn’t stopped me from already looking to come back here. Highly recommend. 5*"

"Stayed in the Winander Club, room 888 which was excellent. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we had our own reception area which was quick. Our room as on the top floor with only one other room. We had a really comfortable bed, bath in main room, good. Size bathroom with nice products and complimentary sweets. But by far the best selling point is the room balcony with amazing views of lake Windermere. Nothing better than sitting have a morning tea / coffee looking at the lake and fells in the cool morning air. Ultimately we can't fault this hotel and our going to look to make it out base to celebrate our wedding anniversary every year. Our only suggestion would be for there to be outside towels to dry off plastic balcony furniture and perhaps blankets so you can spend more time enjoying the outside room space as there are no heaters."
