The reception was warm, welcoming and could not be more helpful My room was large (executive), warm, cosy with a great sized bed that was really comfortable The food was good, great choices, fresh and delicious, shame i could not put on room or open a tab. Spirit drinks were limited in choice. All in all a great stay and would look to use this chain again through the East of England"

"When I arrived the staff were were really understanding.. lovely.. helpful,, asked if we were ok,, a lady she gave us a little booklet we could use with vouchers.. other guests were lovely really welcoming,, felt like there was a proper community here,, the room had a radio playing as we walked it.. that was So welcoming,, we found a rubber 🦆 in the bathroom,, there was a beautiful welcome note written to us on the note pad and the foods amazing!! The heating was on in the room when we entered.. which was quite a lot.. a warm place already that doesn't need to be on,, ⛅ quite low in the ams as well,, which made it uncomfortable,, cleaners did see to the rooms before check out time,, which felt like an alarm clock,, no plugs near the bed,, the bar was open until 3am on Saturday and 00.00 on a Sunday,, our club the other side of Essex isn't open them times that late next to us.. twice someone moved right next door to us,, wasn't any privacy,, the tap didn't run that much,, water come out scolding for the bath,, had to fill it with cold first,, took forever "

"4th time I've stayed here. Gym, Pool and Sauna free to use for guests. I received a free room upgrade this time, but all the rooms I've stayed in are decent sized with good facilities. Decent Food and Drink reasonably priced. "

"The Rose and Crown was a lovely timber framed building but with modern facilities. The room was large, warm and comfortable with a couple of easy chairs which were an added bonus. The shower was good and easy to use. The breakfast was well presented and good and the staff were all pleasant and created a relaxed atmosphere"
