"My wife and I go to Southend often and found the Hamiltons Boutique Hotel which we haven't stayed in before. We had a message in the morning to confirm what time we'll be arriving which I thought was a nice touch. We had a lovely welcome and being out of season, we was given the Hamilton Suite with a sea view. The whole hotel was lovely and clean and bright with lots of light. The next morning we had a lovely cooked breakfast each. 100% will be out "go to" hotel when we go to Southend now. Great...

"I was very happy with the room itself and the price I paid for it booking only couple of days beforehand. Nice and fresh with lots of storage and a clean ensuite bathroom I'd compare the facilities to Travelodge or Ibis(but no TV). However. This being a university campus, it was A bit difficult to find and park in the correct place and was quite a walk to reception and the actual room. "Had a lovely few nights here in Oct 24. Very comfy room, easy check in and lovely location. A few comments: Breakfast - there is a lovely breakfast basket in the room with plates, bowls and cutlery. It has porridge, muesli & muffins as well as fruit, milk and yogurt in the fridge. There’s a dining table downstairs if you want somewhere to sit and eat. "Lovely and clean and confortable. Great contact from the host. Nice place for breakfast nearby. The lights for the bathroom were motion ones which although stopped them being left on by mistake made me plunge into darkness when sat on the throne :). Fab location, thanks"
