"The views from the common area were beautiful. However, our room was tiny, no space to move about in at all. The breakfast provided was good but the spread somewhat stingy. You had to ask for that second cup of coffee for example, and the cold cuts and cheeses platter looked meager."

"Our hosts Danny & Mabel were highly attentive and their property is a wonderfully secluded villa amongst the vibrant landscape of Aotearoa New Zealand. Mabel’s morning breakfast is a delight with various fruits and jams all coming from the garden. The proximity to central Rotorua is also within a 15 minute drive. This location is highly recommended. "

Louise is a very welcoming host providing tea and biscuits on arrival and delicious home cooked breakfasts every morning. She also has a wealth of information regarding what to see in the area and on local traditions and NZ history. The facilities are top notch and I will recommend Doolan’s to my friends if they visit the area"

"The property was unique, comfortable and the host goes above and beyond. Important to know; The facility is a duplex though very private feeling. It is 20 min from Hobbiton, 75min from the glow worm caves. Each side has a unique character, dedicated parking, mostly private deck, bbq, and their very own outdoor private heated spa. One of the nicest places we stayed at on our trip. Thank you for sharing your hospitality with us!"

"The pink house was an ideal place to stay for me and my family whilst we attended a wedding close to Tokoroa. The property is ideal for families. The kitchen is well equipped and the property is spacious. In an ideal world there would be a separate toilet and one of the bedrooms had a bunk rather than free standing bed but everyone seemed to find the accommodation to be very comfortable"
