"We've stayed here before and because we were made so welcome it was our first choice to stay again in Carlisle. Our room was spacious, there is a double and single bed. Fab Greek restaurant within walking distance (booking req) . All Carlisle has to offer less than a mile away. Thanks Adele we loved our weekend trip J + C "

"Rooms spacious enough. Clean and tidy. Maybe a little dated but still clean. Staff very friendly. Breakfast really nice. Didn't have draught drinks only bottled at the bar so didn't stay for a drink. Only 15min walk into the city. Good parking."

"The hotels room was a tad rundown for a 4* hotel,but is been renovated next yr but the rest of the hotel is excellent and food is gorgeous I don't like fish much but I ate fish and mussy peas for 3 nights as I've never had batter so light thin and crispy even after a dose of vinegar I don't eat chips so I asked for extra peas no problem at all. Breakfast nice too especially the poached eggs rich and creamy egg yoke,plenty to see and a half decent charger for my car too.overal I'm going to revisit after the refit next year as it's worth the 300mile round trip for 3 nights or so .staff very friendly and can't do enough for you thankyou all smiths hotel "
