"Brilliant small bed and breakfast for a stay right in the centre of Newport. Clean quiet and run by friendly people, and ideally located to explore town and the wharfs on foot. Amazing breakfasts too! Wonderful fresh home cooking every morning. Car park is a five minute walk away on foot but that is the only thing to note. "

"My stay here was fantastic. The room was spacious and comfortable and the property was only a few minutes walk from shops, bars, and restaurants. Ashley was incredibly polite and helpful in providing dining recommendations and the breakfast was excellent."

"This was the perfect place to stay in Newport. It was just far enough outside of the busy downtown area yet walkable to it in the nice fall weather. Being steps away from the cliff walk was great. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. We stayed in the garden suite which had a massive jacuzzi tub with fireplace and tv. We’ll definitely be staying here again!"

"Quaint, historical hotel with cozy rooms. The sweetest and friendliest staff. Great breakfast and afternoon tea with treats. Hotel is centrally located. You can walk to restaurants, Cliff Walk and Gilded Age mansions. "

"Enjoyed our stay for 2 nights during a warm week in November. This is an historic property, yet modernized. Check-in at hotel around the corner. Our room was large with 2 queen beds in different parts of the room. Updated bathroom with shower. Large "dorm" fridge. Hot breakfast included. Well located. Walked to White Horse Tavern for dinner, many shops and restaurants within walking distance and short drive to waterfront, mansions and Cliff Walk. Only negatives were slow internet and view...

"It was a GREAT location, one of only two hotels on Ocean Drive. the grounds were amazing. The building is falling apart a little, there is deferred maintenance, but the room was clean, the staff was Wonderful. we had a view of the ocean, the hot tub was hot, the coffee and breakfast muffins were great. It is what it is and there is SO much to see in Newport that you shouldnt be spending much time in the room. "
