"I imagine this hotel was nice… 20 years ago when the photos advertising it were taken. Such a shame because it’s a nice building in a lovely area. I can’t speak for the original building itself, maybe those rooms are better kept, but we were placed in the outbuilding across the way and the rooms were incredibly tired and shoddy, with chipped paintwork and soiled carpet. "Rooms were very nice. Mini fridge in your room and help yourself area in the corridor that had plenty of snacks and breakfast items. I was in room one, felt like it had been recently renovated, or they keep a room very well. Booking in and checking out is easy. Would stay again. Pub is also great. "

"There were not curtains or black out curtains on the windows. The mirror had emotion detection led lights and as I was trying to switch them off I found a syringe, thankfully without the needle. I'm very disappointed with the overall condition of the room."
