"The property was gorgeous. The view is indescribable. It might be a little further out for some people for some of the “main attractions” but the drive to get where you need to is worth it to stay in this little slice of paradise. "

Perfect Cottage

"This was the best place to stay for us while visiting the Acadia National Park region. It was perfect for 2 adults and had everything we needed. It is on a quiet cove with fantastic views of the harbor. We loved having our coffee down by the water's edge in the mornings. We saw 2 bald eagles right on our little beach! My favorite part of the whole stay was probably the stargazing. There are 2 beach loungers just outside the back door that were perfect for staring at the sky. I have never seen starts so bright and clear! A very romantic lovely cottage! Just perfect!"

Peaceful vacation home with stunning ocean views and private woods

Tranquil getaway

"My family of 4 and dog enjoyed staying here. The house was a bit dated but that added to the charm. The scenery is gorgeous from most of the rooms (if you are exploring the neighborhood please stay off the land across the street -it's private property!) The location was ~45 minutes from Acadia National Park and 10-15 minutes from Ellsworth. Check-in was easy and Jamie was a great host. "

“Escape” to a Waterfront Artist’s Home on Secluded Evergreen Point, Taunton Bay

Lovely lake house

" We absolutely loved our time at Escape lake house in Maine! The setting was gorgeous and cannot be beat. The view is never the same and we loved watching the changing light on the water. The house is as described in the listing and the primary bedroom and bathroom are great. Note that one of the “bathrooms” is actually in a side entry room with the washer/dryer and extra stove, and is not super private. Also, 2 of the showers are very small stand-up showers. But, that said, for just 2 of us, this was not an issue and the location and views are worth it! Mark sent lots of good info prior to our trip and we contacted him after arrival to report a potential issue that turned out to be nothing. Communication with him was fast and efficient. Overall, we really loved our stay at Escape and we found it to be a great location for exploring Acadia and the Schoodic peninsula. It was also great to just hang at the house and enjoy the wonderful, ever-changing views. Thanks to Mark for sharing Escape with us! We hope to return again soon!"
