"We live only an hour away, but wanted a small change of venue. This house was a perfect tonic for a kind of hectic spring so far. Very simple, very uncluttered, everything works. EXACTLY what we were looking for. I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a TRUE Maine experience."

"There aren’t enough good words to describe this house: amazing, beautiful, stunning, perfection, spotless… and more. It started walking in and finding a basket of freshly made popovers, a jar of Maine blueberry jam, and a card with our names on it with a handwritten note from the host welcoming us.There is a 12-14 page binder with everything about the house such as how to operate appliances, the weekly generator test time, local grocery stores, restaurants, and any other detail you could think of.I’m former military; the dishes, pots, pans, Tupperware containers, closets and everything else is perfectly aligned as if the inspector general is coming in. Not one speck of dirt was to be found anywhere. The interior decorum is as if HGTV recorded a show there. Not a mark on the walls and the color coordination is great. The balcony has an amazing view of Cadillac mountain across the water. The sky was so dark and clear one night that the Milky Way galaxy looked like cotton balls in the sky.The host was amazing in providing extensive details about hiking in Acadia National Park as well as promptly answering my numerous questions prior to our visit.I’ve been in all 50 states and about 20 countries and due to decades of work travel (plus personal travel) I’ve stayed in hotels or VRBO type places over 2,500 nights. My wife and I have stayed in some nice places, some of them REALLY great places to stay. This house is clearly on our short list of “the best of the best.”"

"No need to communicate with property manager as everything was in good condition and self explanatory. Large group arrived at second property which did impact us a bit but we were leaving the next day so not an issue. "

"I would give this property 100 stars if I could! Best VRBO I have ever stayed. It is immaculate, private, well appointed with floor to ceiling windows looking over the tidal basin. The tidal water changes are a show in themselves and the wildlife adds to its splendor. The gas fireplace warmed the rooms when the air cooled in the evening. Full kitchen to eat-in and use. A perfect size home for a couple or two. Bar Harbor and Acadia NP are a short drive, and Hancock has many hiking options. But the best part was sitting by the water's edge in the Adirondack chairs and watching the tide roll in, pause for a bit and roll out. Can't beat it. Tracey was fantastic - start to finish. I wish we could have stayed longer. We'll be back! Thanks Tracey! :)"

"My wife and I had a great time. It is a beautiful and peaceful location overlooking the bay. We spent a lot of time at Acadia, which is clos. "

"My family of 4 and dog enjoyed staying here. The house was a bit dated but that added to the charm. The scenery is gorgeous from most of the rooms (if you are exploring the neighborhood please stay off the land across the street -it's private property!) The location was ~45 minutes from Acadia National Park and 10-15 minutes from Ellsworth. Check-in was easy and Jamie was a great host. "
