"We had a lovely weekend at the Pheasant with friends. Our room was really nice, large enough with a massive bathroom (in the main hotel). The food was excellent, some really different items on the menu and breakfast was fresh and quickly delivered. The only reason i have not given 5 stars is they were understaffed. "Stayed for 2 nights with my 84 year old mum for a girlie few days away. Our room was at the back courtyard of the inn (I think that’s where they all are). So easy access for mum. Parking close to the room. Room was spacious with modern decor and en-suite bathroom. Hosts were chatty without being intrusive. Breakfast both days and the evening meal we had were delicious and more than ample servings. It’s a quirky inn with loads of character. The bar area is in keeping with the age of the inn....

"Very friendly staff in popular and welcoming village local. We only stayed one night and didn't eat here though the menu looked great. Obviously popular with locals and tourists alike for a small village it was busy on the Saturday night we stayed. Room was clean and comfortable though dated. The bed was a bit older than some but perfectly pleasant. The surrounding area is stunning with plenty to do within a short drive and lots of walking on your doorstep. Overall a most enjoyable stay. "
