"We only stayed one night but found the hotel delightful. We had stayed before but it was approaching 20 years ago. It was good then, but has been improved with well appointed rooms and a new conservatory restaurant overlooking the gardens which are alongside the River Rothay. Dinner was excellent and breakfast was of a good standard too. "

Car park was abit tricky too park was only small negative but i do have a large car which doesnt help but apart from this everything else was a very good stay and would return"

"Beautiful location on a lake, lovely grassed area with chairs & lounges on the terrace. Scrumptious continental and cooked breakfast. Had a peaceful lounge/bar where you could order food. Also a spa pool, sauna & steam room free for guests, paid treatments available. "

"This historic hotel has charm! The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet. It's in a great location. No air conditioning, but a fan was provided and the windows opened, so it was fine. The food in the restaurant was mediocre."
