"This hotel was comfortable, well staffed and had a nice pub downstairs that offers dining. The Ullswater was within walking distance of the docks berthing older steam boats, very interesting. I recommend it."

"Lovely hotel with excellent views in the heart of the Lake District. We could sit outside on our room’s patio and take in the views. The spa was a bonus. Food excellent. Reception gave excellent service and ensured we had a room suitable for our needs. Recommend highly. Hope to be back soon."

"A great hotel in a prime location . Staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was excellent and refreshingly full service no making tea and toast. Parking could be a little challenging at times but it also has some free access to 13amp plugs to charge your car. We had a balcony onto a lovely waterfall but smoking is allowed . Would definitely stay again if in the area. Ambleside is great for vegetarian / vegan."
