"This was a lovely stay in a nice peaceful location and very easy to find. I would suggest it would be a stretch for 6 people but for a couple or family with 2-3 kids it would be perfect especially if the kids needed separate rooms. Hosts were great with very good communication throughout. Definitely would return again. Hosts were love"

"Our family of 7 stayed in York for a few days as a bridge between London and Edinburgh. Our stay at 58 Marygate was everything we hoped it would be."

"My partner and I (and our dog) stayed at Gemma’s lovely cottage and we couldn’t be happier! Communication was prompt, the cottage was immaculate when we arrived and fully equipped, and the village of Burythorpe was beautiful! Highly recommend popping into the pub across the street as it was lovely. Gemma also provided several great recommendations in the guest book and we are sad that we couldn’t get to everything in our weekend stay! Would definitely come back, thanks Gemma!"

"The location of the Cottage is 5* easy walking distance to the Jorvik, York museum, Shambles, river cruise and lots of restaurants and pubs. York Minster is also nearby. The photo of the Cottage at the back of the building is accurate and can be accessed through the main building (it has steps down) or side entrance (all flat) Previous reviews have said the cottage floors slope, and yes they do, we got used to this quite quickly and it added to the quirkiness of the Cottage. "We really enjoyed our stay here, the property was well equipped with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. I do think the property does need updating a little and it would have been nice if the hot tub had been filled on arrival, the hot tub also needs a cover as unless you like cold feb rain wouldn’t have been enjoyable. "

"Our stay in Wetherby was to have a home base for ourselves whilst visiting family throughout Yorkshire. The cottage was comfortable and cosy enabling us to have our own space but still being able to socialise and visit family members. "

"We absolutely love this place been a few times now and every time is spot on perfect (wish we had some sugar and tea bags and milk for the room but will remember next time) brilliant as a dog friendly place, our pup loved it!
