"Richard was a great host though there were quite a lot of strict rules sent before fhe stay and during which made us feel a bit on edge! Felt a bit like someone had let us stay in their home rather than we were paying guests. But the house is immaculate and grand so I can see why care is needed. The area is very quiet and theres not alot in the nighbouring towns. Probably Alnwick a 15-20 min drive away is your biggest town. You need to be self carering but kitchens well equipped. "Our stay here was okay I mean we’ve been to worse places but as we arrived we were met with a hole in the floor between our 2 single beds. Then as we were going to microwave our food the microwave had mouldy food inside of it. The manager & cleaners did offer us a different room but we were settled by the time we found the food so we just stayed in our room. "Thank you for an amazing stay. A great place with plenty of things to entertain people of all ages. The fact that it was dog friendly too was the icing on the cake. I would highly recommend.
