"It rained during our stay and this was the perfect place to be. We enjoyed a lazy day sitting on our balcony watching the clouds dance around the mountains in between the rain showers. We ate all our meals at the on-site restaurant (which we normally wouldn’t do) and really enjoyed trying all the different Lao dishes they prepared. This must be the best place to stay in Vang Vieng. "

"By far my favourite stay in Laos. The property is beautiful, the rooms are very clean and up to date and the staff were very helpful with assisting to select and book excursions. The view from our room was spectacular; the gorgeous mountains are quite a thing to wake up to everyday. The pool is fantastic and the gym was definitely above average. Would absolutely come back, no hesitation. "

"The Central Hotel is located on the Main Street of Vang Vieng but there’s no noise heard in the rooms. The rooms are very spacious (I had room 302) and the bed is comfortable. The only draw backs were the AC wasn’t great and there doesn’t seem to be a daily (or weekly) room clean. Besides this it was a comfortable enough stay and the staff were very helpful. There is lots of activities and plenty of restaurants on the street and Gary’s Irish Bar is 100m away ! There is a nice breakfast selection (included in room rate) and they offer a laundry service. "

"This amazing hotel was newly built. The pristine wood work is over the top. The rooms are beautiful. The hotel is located on the river with access to the water for endless water activities. The breakfast buffet was. amazing we had dinner there one evening and I could not compliment the chef enough."

"Loved the pool on the 2nd floor lots of great sun exposure but they need lounge chairs to relax on while sunbathing or just relaxing. Only have tables with full bench seats, bo place to lay down. Also provide some umbrellas for those who want to sit outside under some shade. This is a really new hotel and I believe they will provide in the near future, a work in progress as a matter of fact they haven't finished installing the lights on the wall next to your bed. Also noticed they didn't remove the protective plastic on the bathroom door that prevents damage while shipping but should be pulled off after installation. Breakfast was great with several main egg selections and also included pancakes, nice touch was the fresh fruit plate provided with your meal basic selection of coffee, juice and I think hot water for tea? But notice any tea selections? Also provided stir fried rice along with toast for your starch. Might suggest providing some cereal choices for the kids or adults who enjoy cereal for breakfast. Overall it was very simple and tasty, might add some Hot sauce and black pepper as well, only option was ketchup. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, my first room the AC didn't work? They immediately came up to the room and tried and once they determined it was not working they immediately moved me to a new room and the AC worked fantastic. Like I said it is just recently opened and there will always be some kinks to work out."

"Front desk lady not so kind. did not even greet me when I check in. Maybe she judged me by my appearance. It claimed to be soundproof but not at all. I can hear people talking outside of my room. AC didn’t work too well, air flow was very weak. Bed is clean. "

"Nice hotel with many great features Rooftop terrace with sweeping views Modern Building, rooms, and fixtures. Well furnished. Comfortable beds. Balconies. Efficient AC. Pool. Scooter parking. Elevator. Attentive front desk, with access to many tours, and transports. The only issue i had during my stay was the laundry for hotel linens as well as guest clothing is consistently musty, perhaps a problem with a machine. "
