"500m from Chiang Mai train station. Has a Jim Thompson feel to the place with the dark wooden timber building dining/bar area next to the main pool. Staff very helpful and we would stay there again. "

"We stay there only 1 night but the place is super clean, close to ChiangMai Airport, friendly staff and great breakfast selections! Will definitely return again!"

"The staff barely spoke a word of English. I got to the hotel, they gave me a room, and then made me change rooms just as I was getting settled in. Not sure if they didn't want an American in the room they gave me or they saw on my reservation how much I paid, but had to go from a nice room to a lesser one. Found used bar of soap under a bench next to the tub. Shower had very little pressure, and the wall papers and stuff looked like it had seen better days. It's a Japanese guesthouse so that's...

Our favorite hotel in all of Chiang Mai

"This is a fantastic hotel, excellent in every way. We have stayed there at least three times and are never disappointed. The staff are all first-class, from Alex the manager to housekeeping. The fees are very reasonable for the value. We visit Chiang Mai every year, and the Centara is our favorite hotel in all of Chiang Mai."

"We had a great stay at the Chaya. In particular the staff were all very friendly and attentive. As for the room, it was very clean, spacious and kept to a high standard. We didn’t have breakfast and didn’t tour the local area so can’t comment, but for the pool and the room we would highly recommend this hotel. Short taxi away from the airport and the Old town and local enough for tours to collect us from the hotel. "
