"Old Kirkstead is a really nice spot which was enjoyed by kids and parents alike. We'd never been to this part of Scotland before but we'll be back for longer in the summer having only had three nights this time round. Hilary (the host) couldn't have been more helpful after we managed to completely mess up the booking too!"

The walled grass area was great for frisbees and the external garden was good for exploring. As well as this is the patio garden which is included in the pictures. "We spent 5 nights at this lovely little cottage. It is situated in a perfect location for visiting the Borders. Most areas were easily accessible within 10 miles. The cottage was extremely comfortable with all the modern conveniences. The en-suite is bijoux and due to space restraints, there was no over sink shelf to place toiletries. There was however a small unit under the sink. A lovely welcome package of salted chocolate caramels and homemade brownies awaited us."
