"We stayed in the Kauri chalet and really liked it. The view is great. The connecting room, Rata’s view is even better, but that room is much smaller. If you are a bigger group, booking these two rooms together will be perfect. We woke up to the birdsongs and had a peaceful breakfast on the balcony. The stairs bring the charm to the place and we did not mind the extra steps. Owner/staff are very friendly. PAKnSAVE is only 6 minutes drive away."

"It was really hard to communicate with the property manager. I kept on messaging yet no reply. Did not receive my Bach information until on the day of booking. The house was very smelly and had cockroaches everywhere. The dishes and cutlery were dirty too. The place is beautiful and few minutes walk to the beach. Quiet neighborhood. Was a great trip away. Just not happy with communication and cleaning."

"Great place , classic kiwi batch with a nice kitchen and dishwasher! which was a nice surprise. Well laid out , good shower , comfy lounge ,comfy beds, beautiful views of hillside and estuary. Good parking, nice neighbors. Advice you take your own big umbrellas for shade on deck. Can park a 6mtr boat on grass then 2 to 3 vehicle's. Only con would be no details on rubbish collection. "Great location but over priced. Both toilet seats broken, one kitchen the power points didn't work, Bbq was so dirty it caused a grease fire when lit and we couldn't use it. Beds were super hard. There was no sugar or coffee and dishwashing liquid was just water. The location was awesome, 2 min walk to beach and shops. Lots of beds for large groups."
