"Not ideal for a family. Very dirty shared area, rats ate our bread overnight. Unable to lock the cabins when we went out for the day, and the shared area was also unable to be locked. Came in to find people in the shared area doing laundry. Dirty laundry piled up where the tenants next door do their washing. TV not operational unless you have a laptop with HDMI cables, which we didn't have. Path to cabins over-grown with weeds and grass. Cabins were brand new and nice and clean though!...

"Our group really enjoyed staying at this bach. There was plenty of room for all of us, both in terms of bedrooms, and even just on the couches in the living room, we could really sprawl out and not fight for space. Kitchen was good, pool table and air hockey downstairs, along with a second bathroom. Wifi worked well, and the table had great light for playing board games or doing puzzles."

Checkin was a breeze - the key is left for you in the office with directions to your room - and the layout of our two-story space was perfect for our situation. "Nice comfortable clean room set in a beautiful wooded location on a hillside. Lots of birdsong to sit and listen to on the attached deck. Very nice beach within walking distance. on-site restaurant has wonderful setting and ambience, food is good but not great. Pauanui is a little too quiet for my taste... only one road in and out, and only 2 restaurants open in the evening (other than the property), but I wouldn't ding the hotel for that."

"What a lovely place! The view was spectacular and having a nice balcony area to enjoy the sunset with some wine and cheese was the perfect end to the day. Checkin was a breeze - the key is left for you in the office with directions to your room - and the layout of our two-story space was perfect for our situation. I would definitely stay here again if ever in the area. "
