"We have visited Serenity lake for Labor day and spent 3 nights there. The place is very quiet and relaxing. Lots of untouched nature. Great place for fishing .The cottage is nice and has everything you need. Brian the host is wonderful and friendly. He answered all of our questions and was very helpful. The hot tub in front of the cottage is wonderful for evening relaxation. We will be back in spring for sure. Worth the drive from Chicago if you need to get away and chill in peace and quiet. We already miss the place, specially two friendly ducks that would come out of the lake and hang out with us 😆 Highly recommend this awesome place!! "

"Perfect area for side by side trail riding!! There are only a few options for food close by and not much options for breakfast. I would bring up some of your own food/snacks. The lake is right across the road and is absolutely beautiful!! You cannot fish right across the road you have to go to boat dock down the road. We loved the area and you will see deer in the yard. They have a fire pit with a little patio which is perfect to sit outside and enjoy the evening. Only stayed 2 days and it wasn’t long enough will definitely be back for a longer stay!! 😊"
